I used Planaro.app to schedule my social media posts during the holidays

When I launched Planaro on December 14, 2025, I didn’t plan for how close it would be to the holidays. But the timing turned out to be perfect for the ultimate test: could I actually use my own tool to disconnect during the break?

The setup

I spent a few hours in late December batching content for both X and LinkedIn. Posts scheduled for early mornings when I’m usually still sleeping. Evening posts when I’d normally be offline. The goal was simple: maintain my social media presence while actually taking a break from the screen.

Everything worked

Every scheduled post went live exactly on time. Full formatting preserved. Images attached correctly. No manual intervention needed. I was genuinely offline – not checking the app, not fixing bugs, not worrying if things would break.
That’s when it clicked: Planaro wasn’t just working, it was solving my own problem.

What I learned from dogfooding

Batch creation is more powerful than I expected. When you carve out focused time for content creation, you think differently. You can plan narratives across multiple days. You catch typos before they go live. You’re not rushing to hit publish.

The review step matters. Having that buffer between creation and publication meant I could revisit posts with fresh eyes, make adjustments, refine the message.

The real validation

Building a tool is one thing. Using it daily is another. Trusting it enough to disconnect completely during holidays? That’s when you know the foundation is solid.

Planaro is still early. But it works without issues. That solid base is what I’ll build on as I add the features users are requesting – the ones that actually matter for smooth content workflows.
