RunningLog Integration Within Strava Is Now Waiting for Final Approval

After focusing on development and testing, I’m excited to share that RunningLog’s Strava integration has been submitted and is now in the final approval queue.

This has been one of the most requested features since launching RunningLog back in August 2025, and for good reason. While the platform already supports manual race entries, connecting directly with Strava will make the experience significantly smoother for runners who already track their training there.

What This Means for Users

You’ll be able to connect your Strava account directly to RunningLog. This means your race results, can sync automatically, eliminating the need for manual entry or file uploads. The integration will respect your privacy settings and only access the data you explicitly authorize.

The Approval Process

Strava maintains a thorough review process for third-party integrations, which is actually reassuring. They want to ensure that apps connecting to their platform meet certain standards for data handling, user experience, and API usage. The submission includes details of how RunningLog will use the integration, what permissions are requested, and how user data is protected.

The timeline for approval varies, but typically takes a few weeks. I’m using this waiting period to polish the integration flow.

What’s Next

While we wait for Strava’s approval team to complete their review, I’m continuing to work on other platform improvements. The core functionality is already in place and tested, so once approval comes through, the integration will go live immediately.

If you haven’t tried the platform yet, now’s a good time to check it out and see what we’re building.

I’ll share updates as we move through the approval process. Thanks for your patience and continued support as we make RunningLog better with each iteration.
