Integrating LinkedIn pages within Planaro was one of the important features on the roadmap after the initial launch. This isn’t as straightforward as working with personal accounts, since additional permissions and a separate approval process are required.
The approval process
To get access, I had to submit an application for LinkedIn’s Community Management API. Since these applications are reviewed manually, the process can take a few weeks – and extra clarifications may be required along the way. The good news is that I handled all the communication within the approval process and the access was granted, as expected.
What this means for users
The most important change is that LinkedIn pages linked to a personal account will now be discovered and available for posting within Planaro. On top of that, analytics for LinkedIn posts will also be part of the next release – alongside the other platforms – giving users a better, aggregated overview of their content performance within the app.
What’s next
Offering users the option to manage their entire LinkedIn content was always an objective while developing Planaro. This is an important step toward that goal. Currently, these changes are under development and testing in local environments before the next release. Soon, the features will be available in production.
